Course aims are provide fundamental knowledge about culture of crayfish and other crustaceans, which represent an important diversification in aquaculture. Partial aims are: 1) Introduction to the crayfish environmental requirements, methods of catching and diseases. 2) Presentation of main methods of astaciculture in the Czech Republic and abroad (ranging from extensive to intensive). 3) Excursion to the crayfish farm (shoving culture management under practical conditions) and nature localities. 4) Give information about culture methods and aquaculture potential of further crustaceans (shrimps, crabs, lobsters and spiny lobsters).
