EU and Global Internet Law and Gov. (EUILG - 2021 - LS)

The course provides essential background for study of EU law relating to the Internet, for those studying European law, International relations and diplomacy. It gives a background to the Internet and why it poses difficulties for making or enforcing laws. Major focuses include cybercrime and cybersecurity, privacy and surveillance, Internet of Things, and Internet Governance including the implications of the recent IANA transition.
