IT Services and Operations of IS (OITS - 2021 - LS)

The course gives students a comprehensive picture of all aspects of business management, computer science and work with information systems in the organization. It describes the phases of their selection to the stage of their normal operation. The aim of the course is to provide up to date and comprehensive overview of trends in the field of information technology and systems. Students should know the basic methods and tools of information technology and systems, they should be able to define a global strategy in the management of IS, as well as a strategy to quantify the effectiveness of information systems and technologies in the enterprise. Předmět podává studentům ucelenou představu o všech aspektech řízení podnikové informatiky a o práci s informačními systémy v organizaci. Popisuje fáze jejich výběru až po fázi jejich běžného provozu. Cílem předmětu je podat aktuální a co možná nejucelenější přehled o trendech v oblasti řízení informačních technologií a systémů. Studenti by měli znát základní metody a nástroje řízení informačních technologií a systémů, měli by být schopni definovat globální strategii v řízení IS, stejně jako strategii informační a kvantifikovat efektivnost informačních systémů a technologií ve firmě.
