The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with basic principles of fishery and water management in open waters, especially at supporting the diversity of fish communities and improving their living conditions. Attention will be focused on the description of factors negatively affected fish stocks in open waters and the possibilities of their elimination. A significant part of the subject will be focused on revitalization measures, support of fish migration in non-natural riverberds and fishery management aimed at supporting biodiversity and improving water quality in reservoirs.
